Established in 1982, the hospital was founded with the noble mission of providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to the coastal communities of Kochi and the surrounding regions.
The hospital was established under the guidance and blessings of the late Bishop Joseph Kureethara, the 33rd Bishop of the Diocese of Kochi, who envisioned quality healthcare reaching every section of society, especially the underprivileged.
Today, St. Joseph's Hospital continues to uphold this vision by offering compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered medical care in a peaceful and caring environment.
St. Joseph's Hospital is owned and managed by the Missionary Sisters of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus (MSST), Quilon, a congregation dedicated to healthcare, education, and social welfare.
